About us
What is the FFA?
The FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a national agricultural organization in the United States of America. It is a club in which high school students develop leadership, public speaking, and people skills by doing things such as going to public speaking competitions, helping do things in the community, and helping come up with and put together fundraisers. The FFA, as the name implies, does have a lot to do with farming, which can be working with animals, plants, or anything else agricultural. However, something most people do not know is that agriculture is NOT strictly just a plant and animal business, it is also mechanics, welding, plumbing, saving the ecosystem of our planet, cooking, floristry, and more! Even making clothing can be considered as an agricultural career.

What can I expect, if I decide to join FMHS FFA?
FMHS FFA has been up to many different things this year. So far, we have helped out at the Grand Opening of Baking By Kat in Lake of the Woods, put together a community canned food drive (earning 526 cans), put together a haunted house fundraiser in Frazier Park Elementary School, put together a lasagne drive through fundraiser at FMHS, and put together a muffin fundraiser at FMHS.
We have also gone on many field trips such as: an overnight bootcamp, FFA Dodger Game- at Dodger Stadium, an officer retreat, and Tejon Ranch Tour-accompanied by the California State Officers.
The Frazier Mountain FFA chapter officer team won 3rd place at the San Joaquin opening/closing competition in November 2016, and winning best Sentinel was our very own, Noah Tatum.
We also holds monthly chapter meetings where we have food, games, and talk about everything we have been up to.
So what can you expect if you join FMHS FFA? You can expect to be around plenty of hard working individuals that never give up, help around the community, put together awesome fundraisers, go on fun field trips, and learn how to work well with others in stressful situations, develop leadership skills, and all while having your own fun!
If you are interested in seeing what else we plan on doing this year, go see our upcoming events.

Our Advisor!
Mrs. Bizzini's view on what she wants to do:
"Well I would like to increase our membership. I would like to have a working greenhouse so that we can have a true horticultural program, and a flourishing program. I would like to expand into having a wood working program, welding, and possibly mechanics so that we can reach more people and more people would be interested in learning about Agriculture."
Do you think our chapter is one of a kind?
"We are different than many other schools not all schools in that we have a greenhouse here on our campus, lots of other schools do not, they have to travel to get to their farm. We also have a farm area to grow things and we can have our animals here at school and that is what makes us unique."
What do you think about our Greenhand and Officer teams?
" I think we have potential to do really well, and to be very good and score high in competitions, its just that we lacked some of our major players do to sports so we had to have some new people step up and fill in their spots and they did a great job, but to be fair they didn't have enough practice. So with enough practice and enthusiasm I think that we can be just as good as anybody else."
